Amended Pleading:

A change to a pleading. Pleadings can be amended to add a counter or cross claim, adding an affirmative defense or adding to or correcting an allegation, etc. An amendment to a pleasing must be made by the plaintiff to the defendant being served, by court order or with the by any parties.
