Monroe, Washington man killed in car accident on Hwy 2

Seattle's KOMONews.com reports that a 32-year-old Monroe man, Antonio A. Miranda, was killed on Highway 2 near Sultan in a car accident when the Acura he was driving in crashed head-on with a GMC pickup on Highway 2 on Friday night.

According to Washington State Patrol troopers , Miranda was driving west on Highway 2 when he crossed the center line. He first sideswiped a Hyundai Tucson and then crashed into the GMC pickup. Miranda was killed at the scene.

The driver of the GMC pickup, a 60-hear-old man, was taken to Valley General Hospital in Monroe for treatment. No one in the Hyundai was hurt.

According to KOMO News, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
