Redmond, Washington motorcyclist killed in crash

The Seattle Times reports that a 31-year-old Redmond man died in a motorcycle accident this morning after his motorcycle hit a curb and he was thrown off the bike.

Redmond police are investigating the accident but they believe the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed.

A previous blog reported that the Washington State Patrol says 80% of motorcycle fatalities are accidents which do not involve another vehicle and that excessive speed is often the cause of the accident.
