Everett sheriff’s deputy crashes car into apartment

In an effort to avoid a avoid a car accident, a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy swerved and ran his cruiser through a fence and into an apartment building. The accident occurred on 112th Street SW between 2nd Place W and 3rd Avenue, W in Everett around 5:40am reports the Everett HeraldNet.com.

According to a sheriff’s spokeswoman, Rebecca Hover, the deputy had been responding to reports of a stolen car and was driving with lights flashing when another car pulled into the intersection.

The article did not say whether the deputy was injured in the car accident but it did report that the patrol car was a total loss and the apartment building was damaged.
