3 Washington residents killed in Kansas car accident

The Tacoma News Tribune reports that three Vancouver, Washington were killed in a car accident when their car went out of control and went into a ravine on Interstate 70 near Goodland, Kansas.

Killed in the accident were the driver, Laurie Teres, age 48, Carlotta Morrison, age 74, and Lyla Poulson, age 54. All three of those killed were from Vancouver. A fourth Vancouver resident was airlifted to Swedish Medical Center near Denver.

According to the report, the Kansas Highway Patrol said the auto accident occurred around 2pm on Sunday afternoon near the Colorado border. The driver apparently lost control and the car rolled several times before going into a ravine.
