Bellevue man critically injured in Elephant Super Car Wash accident

The Bellevue Reporter reports that a 74-year-old Bellevue man was critically injured in a car and pedestrian accident at the Elephant Super Car Wash located on Bel-Red Road in Bellevue on Monday evening.

According to the article, the man was standing behind his parked Lexus when a car wash employee driving a customer’s Ford Expedition, apparently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and pinned the victim between the two vehicles.

One witness said that the man’s legs were “shattered.” A car wash customer administered first aid until the medics arrived in about 5 minutes. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he is listed in critical condition.
