Four Washington teens killed, two others injured in U.S. 30 car accident
Four teenagers from Clark County in Washington state were killed and a fifth teenager is in critical condition after a head-on car accident on U.S. 30 around 11:10 this morning near Clatskanie, Oregon.
According to The Seattle Times, the five Washington teens were headed westbound on U.S. 30 in an SUV when the driver -- a 17 year old girl -- attempted to pass another car, lost control and slid into the eastbound lane where the SUV was hit by a van driven by Ki Young Kim, 55 of Vancouver.
Killed at the car accident scene were the female driver and three passengers, two 18-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman. A fifth occupant of the SUV, an 18-year-old man, was airlifted to Portland's Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
Kim was taken to a Longview, Washington hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

The teenagers in this tragic car accident have now been identified. According to Seattle's KOMO news, all five teenagers were recent graduates of Ridgefield High School and they were headed to the Oregon coast for a vacation before leaving for college.
The driver of the SUV was identified as Aja Gerrity, age 17, of Ridgefield. The three passengers that were fatally injured in the accident were Amanda Williams, 18, and Richard Miachael Araiza,18, both of Ridgefield and Jason Cary Carter, 18, of Vancouver.
The fifth person in the SUV was Dustin Evan Leitzell, 18, of Ridgefield. Leitzell was airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland in critical condition.
