15-year-old boy arrested for vehicular assault in Longview

A 15-year-old Kelso boy who is believed to have severely injured a 28-year-old pedestrian early Saturday morning after hitting him with a van, has been arrested and may be charged with attempted murder reports The Daily News Online of Longview. The injured pedestrian, a man, suffered internal injuries and a broken leg.

According to the report, the boy was driving a van and he and his passengers shouted gang slogans or obscenities at a couple as they left Cross Keys Pub and entered an alley. The victim apparently shouted back at them. At that point, the boy deliberately tried to run the couple down, hitting the man. The teenager then left the scene.

Police later arrested the teenager who admitted driving the van.
