Pedestrian suffers serious head injury in U-district accident

An unidentified 22-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury and possibly other injuries in a pedestrian accident this morning in the U-district of Seattle. The injured woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

According to a report provided by KOMO News.com, the woman ran into the path of an oncoming car while running in a crosswalk across NE 50th Street after the traffic signal had turned green.

Police said that the driver that hit the woman was not impaired.
