Teenager critically injured in car accident near Arlington

Two teenagers were injured, one critically, when they were involved in a motor vehicle accident near Arlington in unincorporated Snohomish County.

According to a report in The Seattle Times, a 17-year-old driving a Toyota attempted to pass a Jeep in a no-pass zone when the two vehicles crashed. The Jeep then ran into a tree. The driver of the Jeep, a 17-year-old suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the Jeep, a 16-year-old girl, was critically injured and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. The driver of the Toyota was not injured.
