Kent single-car accident kills teen driver, injures 3 others

A teenager driver was killed and three teenage passengers were seriously injured in a single-car accident near Kent, Washington reports KOMO News.com. The injured teens were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

According to the report, the car accident occurred in the 23800 block of 64th Avenue South around 4am on Sunday morning. Apparently, two car-loads of teenagers were traveling from SeaTac to a house in Kent when the 18-year-old driver lost control of the car and ran into a tree. The accident was witnessed by the 2nd car of teenagers.

Police attribute speed, driver inexperience and possible alcohol consumption as contributing to the car accident.
