Teenager seriously injured in Auburn motorcycle accident

An 18-year-old Kent teen suffered broken bones and a possible head injury when he was involved in a motorcycle accident on Highway 18 in Auburn Saturday night.

According to a report on KIRO Radio, the motorcyclist was speeding when he crashed into the rear of a stalled car. Some witnesses estimated that the motorcyclist may have been traveling at speeds up to 90 miles per hour before the accident.

Police say the teen was wearing a helmet and are investigating to determine whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the motorcycle accident.

The driver of the stalled car was not injured.
