Teen critically injured in Bothell pedestrian accident

A 13-year-old boy, who was riding a scooter near State Route 522 in Bothell on Thursday afternoon, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries after being hit by a car reports KOMO News.

The pedestrian accident occurred around 3pm when a car that was traveling east on Bothell Way went off the road at Main, hit a utility pole and then the boy. The teen was reported to be unconcious when medics arrived and had multiple injuries.

The driver of the car was reported to be a man in his 50s. The driver of the car was taken to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland.

Police are investigating what caused the driver to leave the road.
