88-year-old Oak Harbor Man dies after single-car accident

The HeraldNet of Everett reports that an 88-year-old man died of injuries he sustained when he drove his car off of East Fakkema Road near Taylor Road and into an embankment in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.

According to the report, the man was driving alone in his Nissan Maxima when the accident occurred around 11:40pm on Thursday.

The man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle but he succumbed to his injuries.
