Auburn man injured in Kent hit-and-run car accident

A 35-year-old Auburn man was injured in a motor vehicle accident early Saturday morning when the Chevrolet Blazer he was riding in was rear-ended on State Route 167 in Kent shortly after midnight.

According to a report in Tacoma’s The News Tribune, the injured man was a passenger in the Blazer, which was being driven by a 27-year-old Renton woman, when it was hit, causing it go to through the guardrail and down an embankment.

The State Patrol is looking for the hit-and-run driver. They found the suspect vehicle abandoned off the 15th St. NW exit in Auburn.

The driver of the Blazer was not injured in the accident. The report said that she was wearing a seat belt but her passenger was not.
