Log truck hits passenger car near Hoquiam, 2 seriously injured
Two people were seriously injured in an accident involving a log truck and a Chevrolet pickup truck on State Route 101 near Hoquiam on Monday.
According to a report on The Olympian, the pickup truck driven by Rita Billie, 46, of Taholah, made a left hand turn without signaling and the log truck t-boned the pickup truck. The force of the impact caused the log truck to roll and the pickup truck was pushed into a ditch.
Billie received serious injuries including a lacerated liver, broken ribs, broken pelvis, broken back, broken neck and a broken collar bone; She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
A passenger in the pickup truck, Jonah Billie, 47, was also airlifted to Harborview with broken ribs, a broken back, broken leg and internal injuries.
Gilroy was not injured in the motor vehicle accident.
