1 killed, 4 injured in Highway 18 head-on car accident near Tiger Mountain

Trung Ngo, 36, of Covington was killed in a Highway 18 head-on car accident near Tiger Mountain on Saturday night and his wife, Cheuk Chann, 37, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries. Relatives of the couple said they were on a shopping expedition to purchase Easter candy for their children when the car accident occurred.

The Washington State Patrol are investigating the cause of the car accident but they believe that a vehicle driven by Mine Her, 26, of Pullman and a car driven by Frank J. Willing, 39, of Tacoma were either racing or involved in a case of road rage when Her lost control of his vehicle, crossed the centerline and struck Ngo’s vehicle head-on.

Willing lost control of his vehicle after Ngo’s and Her’s vehicles collided and his car rolled over onto its top.

Willing and his 10-year-old son were both taken to Valley View Medical Center with injuries.

Her’s injuries were more serious and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

The Washington State Patrol are investigating both Willing Her under suspicion of Vehicular Assault and Vehicular Homicide. Vehicular Assault can be charged if someone is seriously injured in a car accident and Vehicular Homicide can be charged of someone is killed and the negligent driver was driving under the influence of alcohol or driving with reckless regard.
