Man killed by hit-and-run driver while walking near Shelton, Washington

King5.com reports that a 23-year-old man, Louis Stevens Junior, from Shelton, Washington was hit by a car and killed while he was walking on Highway 3, south of Shelton. Originally from Bremerton, he had recently moved to Mason County. The pedestrian accident occurred around 2am Friday morning.

According to the police, there were no witnesses to the accident. They believe Stevens was hit from behind while walking on or near the highway. They have arrested a 27-year-old man who they say is a suspect in the hit-and-run. Since the man drove off after the accident, he may be charged with felony hit-and-run.
