Aaron J. Robinson, 24, of Shelton has been arrested and booked for investigation of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault after he was involved in a single car accident which resulted in two deaths.
According to a report on KiroTV.com, Robinson was driving a 1991 GMC Jimmy with seven people inside when he ran a stop sign on early Sunday morning. His car eventually careened down an embankment.
Killed were Albert B. Legault, 30, and John Evan Liptak, 21. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Three other passengers were taken to Mason General Hospital with “non-life threatening injuries.” Robinson was treated for minor injuries before he was booked.
Vehicular Assault can be charged if a person was seriously injured while a driver was driving recklessly, under the influence or without regard to the safety of others.
Vehicular Homicide can be charged if a person dies as a result of negligent operation of a motor vehicle or dies of their injuries within three years of the incident.
Suit can be brought for wrongful death by the families of those killed.
