Hit-and-run car accident critically injures driver in Boulevard Park, WA

The Seattle Times reports that a person was critically injured in a Boulevard Park, Washington hit-and run car accident on Friday night.

According to the report, the accident occurred at an intersection with a four-way stop at the corner of South 112th Street and Eighth Avenue South in Boulevard Park. Witnesses said that a Ford Explorer broadsided a Honda Civic. The impact of the accident pushed the Honda off of the road.

If it is determined that the hit-and-run driver was intoxicated or under the influence at the time of the accident, he could be charged with Vehicular Assault. RCW 46.61.522, vehicular assault, can be charged if a person was seriously injured when a driver was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
