1 teenager killed, 1 injured in Everett car accident

A 15-year-old girl was killed and an 18-year-old man was injured in a single car accident in Everett around 12:45 am this morning.

Police had received 911 calls about two vehicles racing and when they arrived in the area they found a severely damaged 1994 Honda Civic. Apparently, the driver of the car lost control, the car went airborne and hit a guardrail according to the report on Seattle’s KOMONews.com. The auto accident occurred in the 800 block East Marine View Drive.

The two victims were first taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett where the girl was pronounced dead of her injuries. The young man was transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and his condition is unknown at this time.

Everett Police are investigating the car accident and ask for witnesses or anyone with information about the accident to call them at their tip line: 425-257-8450. They believe that the other vehicle involved may have been white or yellow. There have been no charges filed at this time but the driver could be charged with Vehicular Homicide if it is found that he was driving without the regard of safety to others.
