The Seattle Times reports that a Pierce Transit shuttle van for disabled people was involved in an rear-end motor vehicle accident on Highway 512 in Lakewood. Injuries were said to be mild but the driver and all five passengers were taken to St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood as a precaution. Lakewood is a city about 7 miles south of Tacoma via the Interstate 5.
The auto accident occurred when the van was rear-ended by a semi-truck which pushed the van into another vehicle. Washington State Trooper Brandy Kessler says that the semi-truck driver was driving too fast.
