Spin-out car accident kills Redmond woman, injures five others

A Redmond woman, Gretchen Forsman, age 32 was killed and the driver of the Honda Civic she was riding in, David Forsman, age 33, is in serious condition after their car hydroplaned, left its lane and went into oncoming traffic on State Route 202 near Ames Lake Road in Redmond reports The Seattle Times.

The Honda Civic the Forsman were riding in was hit by a Kia Sedona driven by Caroline Robinson, age 38. Also in the van were Brian Robinson, age 35 and two children, ages 8 and 6. Three of the four passengers of the Sedona were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where they are listed in satisfactory condition.

The car accident occurred around 4:30pm and police believe road conditions and speed were the cause of the accident; they are investigating.
