King County had 45% fewer car accidents over July 4th weekend

King County had a drop in the number of car accidents over the July 4th weekend reports the Washington State Patrol.

The Patrol, who launched a DUI and aggressive driver emphasis patrols in strategic areas in western Washington reported that there were no serious injuries and no fatal auto accidents in King County. The patrol arrested 51 driving under the influence drivers and responded to 26 automobile accidents, with eight of those injury accidents.
