Police looking for hit-and-run driver in Mukilteo pedestrian accident

The Everett Herald Net reports that Mukilteo police are looking for a driver who hit a woman who was walking in a crosswalk in Mukilteo around 3:30pm on Wednesday and then drove off.

The pedestrian accident occurred near the intersection of Possession Way and Harbour Pointe Boulevard West. The woman was walking with two children when she was hit by an older man driving an SUV.

According to the report, the man paused his car to ask the woman if she was hurt after the pedestrian accident. She asked him to call 911 but he apparently just drove away. The woman was taken to Stevens Hospital in Edmonds for treatment of her injuries.

Police are asking anyone who may know something about the man or the pedestrian accident to call the Mukilteo Police Department at 425-263-8100, extension 3111.
