A 16-year-old boy has been charged with three accounts of Vehicular Assault after a Saturday evening motor vehicle accident in which two motorcyclists were injured in Spanaway.
According to a report in The Tacoma News Tribune, the unidentified teen hit two motorcyclists while driving recklessly on Spanaway Loop Road South. The teen was speeding and crossed the center line and clipped one motorcycle and hit a second.
Two people on the second motorcycle was injured and the teen was also injured in the accident.
Vehicular Assault, RCW 46.61.522, can be charged if a person is seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident and the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving recklessly or driving with careless disregard of the safety of others.
