Port Angeles logging truck accident injures two when truck hits house

Two people were injured when a logging truck hit a house in Port Angeles around 4am Friday morning.

According to a report, the truck owner, Jim Johnson, left his big rig truck running to warm it up as he went inside his home. When he came outside, Johnson saw his truck moving and hit his neighbor’s house.

Jim Webster was inside the house and he suffered a neck injury. He was taken to Haborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. According to Cyndi Webster, her husband sustained a broken neck and has had fusion surgery and is now home recovering. Cyndi Webster sustained whiplash and a sprained wrist.

Johnson claims that someone released his parking brake while he was inside his house which caused it to roll. Port Angeles Police are investigating the trucking accident.
