Pregnant woman miscarries, 4 others injured in Silverdale-area head-on car accident

Two women in a Hyundai Accent were injured when a Chevrolet Suburban driven by a Snohomish man crossed over the Highway 303 median east of Silverdale and hit the women’s car head-on reports KOMO News.com.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 22-year-old Bremerton Woman, was seriously injured in the car accident. Her passenger suffered leg, chest and abdominal injuries and miscarried her four-month fetus.

The driver of the Suburban was Dennis Johnson of Snohomish. He was driving with his wife and two children in the vehicle. Johnson was taken to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment of serious face and chest injuries. Johnson’s wife and two children were treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

The Washington State Patrol is trying to determine if a medical emergency was a factor in the collision.
