Federal Way rollover car accident involves 3-year-old passenger

An SUV was broadsided, causing it to rollover, Wednesday morning in Federal Way in a two-car accident. Fortunately, the driver of the SUV nor the driver of the compact car that it hit were seriously injured. A three-year old passenger in the compact car was also not seriously injured.

The car accident occurred on Wednesday morning around 9:30am at 34004 16th Avenue South in Federal Way. The driver of the SUV attempted to make a left hand turn into a strip mall but did not yield to the compact car, causing the collision. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to flip onto it’s roof.

The driver of the SUV was cited for the accident reports The Seattle PI.com. Washington Vehicle code RCW 46.61.185 — Vehicle Turning Left — states that a driver turning left into a driveway must yield the right-of-way to any vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.
