A 68-year-old Mercer Island man was killed in a Woodinville motorcycle accident this morning around 9:00am. The accident occurred at the intersection of Northeast 195th Street and Woodinville-Snohomish Road.

According a report posted by John de Leon in The Seattle Times, the motorcyclist laid his motorcycle down, perhaps to avoid a collision with a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by a 17-year-old Woodinville boy.

The motorcyclist slid under the Jeep and hit his head. He was killed at the accident scene.
