The Washington state house has approved a ban on texting and cell phone usage by teen age drivers by a 86-12 vote. The proposed change in legislation would also make texting while driving by anyone a primary offense.

For the new legislation to be made law, the House and the Senate will have to agree on the legislation and Governor Christine Gregoire will have to sign it.
