Police investigating Snohomish cross-over motor vehicle accident

KOMO News of Seattle reports that one man was critically injured and another seriously injured in a cross-over motor vehicle accident on the Lowell-Snohomish River road in Snohomish around 6:30pm on Wednesday night.

According to the report, a Snohomish man in his 20s was driving eastbound in a Ford pickup truck when he crossed the center line and ran head-on into a Ford Escort driven by a 40-year-old Everett man.

The driver of the Escort suffered life-threatening injuries and he was taken to Harborview Medical in Seattle.

The driver of the pickup was taken to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland.

It is not known whether alcohol or drugs or driver inattention played a factor in the accident but police are investigating.
