Bellevue woman critically injured in pedestrian accident

An unidentified Bellevue woman was critically injured in a pedestrian accident when she was hit by a car while she was waiting at a metro bus stop in the 4700 block of 199th Avenue SE in Bellevue.

According to Seattle’s KING5.com, the pedestrian accident occurred at 3:45pm on Friday afternoon when a motorist, a 53-year-old person from Everett, apparently experienced a medical emergency, blacked out and lost control of the vehicle.

The woman was carried 50 feet before the car stopped. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She was unconscious at the time.

It is not known at this time whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
