Pedestrian critically injured in Seattle light rail accident

A man is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center after being injured in a Seattle Link Light Rail accident on Thursday afternoon.

The Seattle Times reported the pedestrian accident occurred near South Holgate Street and Fifth Avenue South around 12:45pm.

The report said that the man, who appeared to be in his 40s, crossed the intersection “even though the gates were down and the warning lights were flashing.”
