23-year-old woman killed in Kenmore head-on collision

A 23-year-old Seattle woman was killed Tuesday morning when the small car she was driving crossed the centerline and collided head on with an SUV driven by a Bothell woman. The force of the collision caused the SUV to rollover.

The car accident occurred on Highway 522 on Tuesday morning.

The two occupants of the SUV were taken to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland where they were listed in “good” condition.

Head-on collisions are some of the most deadly of car accidents because of the forces involved with two vehicles traveling in opposite directions.

An investigation of this accident is being conducted and police will determine if speeding or driver distraction were factors and whether the slush on the roadway played a role.
