2 injured in Olympia car accident when car crosses centerline

The Olympian reports that two people were injured, one critically, when a Nissan Maxima driven by Danny Enos Vincent, 51, of Lacey crossed the center-line and hit a Hyundai driven by Lisa J. Kirry, 53. Kirry reportedly faces surgery for multiple fractures.

Kirry was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital after the car accident but was then transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The extent of Vincent’s injuries are unknown.

The Olympia car accident occurred on Mullen Road around 9:13pm.

Vincent may be charged with Vehicular Assault. Washington State Vehicle Code RCW 46.61.522 provides that if a person is injured by a driver who was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with reckless disregard to the safety of others or driving recklessly can be charged with Vehicular Assault.

Victims of drunken drivers
can also file a claim in civil court asking for compensation for damages including medical costs, loss of wages and for pain and suffering.
