According to a report in The Olympian, Rodas-Urias was speeding near Milepost 80 when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a car driven by a 52-year-old Oregon man, James Renken.
Roads-Urias abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene of the accident on foot. A car driven by Clayton-Walker, 69, of Winlock hit Rodas-Urias’ abandoned vehicle and Clayton-Walker suffered hand lacerations.
Vehicular Assault, RCW 46.61.522, can be charged if a person is seriously injured in a car accident and the driver was driving with reckless disregard to the safety of others, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or driving recklessly.
