An Everett teenage, Haley Salvador, age 15, was killed while attempting to cross Interstate Highway 5 on foot. Apparently teenage pedestrians often cross the I-5 as a shortcut to the Everett Mall. The teenagers say that taking a shortcut up the off-ramp saves 20 minutes. Families of teenagers are lobbying for a footbridge over the freeway reports Seattle’s news station King5.com.
