Everett woman critically injured in pedestrian accident when car leaves road

A 50-year-old woman was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Friday when a car driven by a 29-year-old woman went off the road and hit her. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of her injuries; Her condition is unknown.

The accident occurred around 4pm in the 12900 block of Eighth Avenue West according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. It is not known whether the woman driving the Nissan pathfinder was under the influence, distracted by a cell phone or experienced a medical emergency.
