Four Washington teens killed, two others injured in U.S. 30 car accident

Four teenagers from Clark County in Washington state were killed and a fifth teenager is in critical condition after a head-on car accident on U.S. 30 around 11:10 this morning near Clatskanie, Oregon.

According to The Seattle Times, the five Washington teens were headed westbound on U.S. 30 in an SUV when the driver — a 17 year old girl — attempted to pass another car, lost control and slid into the eastbound lane where the SUV was hit by a van driven by Ki Young Kim, 55 of Vancouver.

Killed at the car accident scene were the female driver and three passengers, two 18-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman. A fifth occupant of the SUV, an 18-year-old man, was airlifted to Portland’s Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Kim was taken to a Longview, Washington hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
