A King County Sheriff’s deputy was injured when he was hit by a car while he was out of his car on Highway 169 — the Maple Valley Highway — around 4:50pm Tuesday Night.
According to the report in The Seattle Times, the deputy was conscious and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of unknown injuries. However, his injuries were thought to be non life threatening.
The pedestrian accident is currently being investigated. Apparently the driver of the car that hit the officer stayed at the accident scene.
