King County prosecutors have filed Vehicular Homicide charges against Hermilo Limon Garcia whose pickup truck hit a party bus, killing Scott A. Glover and critically injuring himself and his passenger earlier this month.
According to a report in The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Garcia’s blood alcohol content was .2% which is more than twice the legal limit of .08%. State patrol troopers found Garcia with a beer bottle between his legs after the accident.
Vehicular Homicide can be charged if a person is killed in a motor vehicle accident and the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident.
