The Tacoma News Tribune reports that Garrett M. Felt, 24, of Orting was killed in a wrong way car accident on Interstate 5 in Lakewood around 2am on Sunday morning.
According to the report, Felt drove the wrong way on northbound I-5 for about 6 miles before he crashed into a semi-truck driven by a 60-year-old Roy man.
Felt was killed at the accident scene; he was not wearing a seat belt. The semi truck driver was not injured.
The WSP had received several calls from motorists that there was a wrong-way driver on the highway before the accident.
The WSP is investigating whether alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
