Police estimate motorcyclist was driving 152mph

The Washington State Patrol cited a motorcyclist — a 39-year-old Vancouver man — for driving 92 miles above the posted speed limit at 152mph!

The trooper cited the motorcyclist for “excessive speed” reports The News Tribune of Tacoma. The fine for the citation is $411.

The cyclist was driving on State Route 14 in Goldenrod last Sunday around 5:30pm. He told the officer that he had no idea he was going that fast.

According to National Highway Transportation Safety Administration statistics, approximately two third of all motorcycle fatalities are associated with speeding.
