An 18-year-old Sammamish man has been cited for inattentive driving after his car veered off of the road and hit a Remote Transmitting Unit operated by Puget Sound Energy reports The Sammamish Reporter. The car accident caused a minor gas leak and several homes were evacuated because of a small chance that there might be an explosion.
One resident believes the that the city’s maintenance of the road is a problem. Jim McGraw said, “The city, through strong-arm tactics, has taken over the road, but refuses to fix it.”
