The Seattle Times reports that a 6-year-old girl was injured in a pedestrian accident after she was hit by a hit-and-run driver while she was walking in a crosswalk on Seward Park Avenue. Police are looking for a light blue, late 1980’s Lincoln.
The little girl was thrown 20 feet into the air upon impact. Reports said that she was conscious after the accident and had lost several teeth. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she was in stable condition.
The accident occurred while a group of children were in a marked crosswalk, walking to Atlantic City Park on Lake Washington.
Police are asking that anyone having information about the hit-and-run driver should call them using 9-1-1. They believe that two men may have been in the car and they appeared to be in their late teens or early 20’s.
