Edward C. Traweek, 53, of Maple Valley, was killed in a single-car accident in the eastbound lane of Interstate 90 near the summit of Snoqualmie pass on Saturday.
According to a report by the Yakima Herald.com, Traweek was thrown from his vehicle when his 2002 Chevrolet Blazer crashed; he was not wearing a seat belt.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
